Hunter Greene Named Opening Day Starter
2 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene has been named the Opening Day starter, according to the team's social team page. This doesn't come as much of a surprise considering Greene is basically their best option right now. He threw four scoreless innings versus the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. Greene has shown flashes of being a legitimate ace, but hasn't fully put it together yet. He posted a 4.44 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 164/48 K/BB ratio across 24 starts last season. The expectation is that Greene will be able to improve heading into 2023.
