Geno Smith Signs Three-Year Deal With Seahawks
2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks have signed quarterback Geno Smith to a multi-year extension. The deal is reportedly a three-year contract worth $105 million. The NFL's comeback player of the year was set to enter free agency, but is now likely to end his career with the Seahawks. The first year of this new contract will include a $52 million salary. It will be his age-33 season, but the hope is that Smith continues to play like he did last season. In 2022, Smith finally broke out and had the best campaign of his nine-year career. He threw for nearly 4,300 yards and 30 touchdowns, while leading the Seahawks to the Wildcard round during a rebuilding season. It's nice to see Smith getting paid after his incredible season, but hopefully this isn't a one-hit wonder.
