Yordan Alvarez Could Swing By The Weekend
2 years agoHouston Astros general manager Dana Brown said on the team's radio broadcast on Sunday that outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (hand) will take some swings "maybe by next weekend." Soreness in Alvarez's left hand, which is also something he dealt with last year, has prevented him from swinging the bat in spring training to this point. The Astros remain optimistic that the 25-year-old left-handed slugger will be ready for Opening Day, but if he has any setbacks once he resumes swinging, his fantasy managers can probably kiss Opening Day goodbye. When he's healthy, Alvarez is an easy top-10 fantasy asset in one of the best lineups in baseball.
