Justin Herbert May Be More Mobile This Season
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert may be asked to run more this season. During a recent gathering with the media, head coach Brandon Staley addressed the offense and how it can improve, with Herbert's mobility being a focal point. "It's certainly a weapon we need to take advantage of," Staley said while also referencing how new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore utilized Dak Prescott over the years. The 24-year-old had a down season in 2022-23, finishing with 4,739 yards and a career-low 25 touchdowns while adding 10 interceptions. Considering Herbert hasn't surpassed 302 rushing yards in any of his three seasons, it will be interesting to see how things work out with the philosophy change. However, the 2020 No. 6 overall pick, who is in line for a new contract, is still expected to be at least a top-five fantasy signal-caller, regardless of how often he uses his legs.
