Justin Verlander Looks Strong In Spring Debut
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Justin Verlander made his spring debut with his new team on Saturday. The 40-year-old put together a strong showing, including three innings of work with only one-run allowed. It appears the veteran pitcher has not lost a step at all. He is coming off a fantastic season where he posted a league-leading 1.75 ERA in 28 starts with the Houston Astros. It seems impossible for Verlander to continue pitching at this excellent rate, but it doesn't appear to be showing signs of slowing down.
