2 years agoThe New York Jets met for a second time with free-agent quarterback Derek Carr at the scouting combine this week. However, they are also willing to wait out Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' decision on whether he wants to continue his career. It's shaping up as the Packers, Jets or bust for Rodgers in 2023. There's an expectation around the league that if Rodgers doesn't retire, he'll return to the Packers. If he winds up back in Green Bay, the Jets should be viewed as the favorite to land Carr. His meetings with the Jets have gone well, and New York views Carr as a QB who can get them over the hump in the AFC. Head coach Robert Saleh said Carr has "elite mental makeup" and "tremendous accuracy and arm strength."
