Chris Sale Throws Batting Practice On Saturday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (wrist) faced live hitters on Saturday during a 23-pitch batting practice session. The left-hander has progressed to facing live hitters for the first time since last July. The organization is hopeful that Sale will be able to make a return to the mound in March. The 33-year-old is coming off wrist surgery in his non-throwing hand, so hopefully he has fully recovered. Sale has made a total of 11 starts over the last three seasons. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Red Sox have an inning limit on Sale this season. That being said, his fantasy value could be capped, but he's still a star when healthy.
