Kawhi Leonard Scores Season-High 44 Points Friday
2 years agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard played his part in the second-highest scoring game in NBA history with a season-high 44 points on Friday versus Sacramento. The two teams combined for 351 points and the Kings were able to battle out a one-point victory. The Clippers had two chances to get ahead in the final seconds, but both Leonard and Nicolas Batum couldn't get their shots to drop. Kawhi needed only one more make to set his new scoring record, finishing 16-for-22 from the field with a 6-for-9 effort from downtown. In 46 minutes on the court, the Claw also grabbed four rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks. The injury-prone superstar has now logged 40-plus minutes in half of his last eight appearances, which is a great sign regarding his health status. There are not many players better in the NBA than Kawhi Leonard when he's healthy.
