Baker Mayfield A Fallback Option For Ravens?
2 years agoIf the Baltimore Ravens were to part ways with quarterback Lamar Jackson this offseason, they would acquire enough draft capital to take a top quarterback in this year's or next year's draft. They could also add a veteran stopgap such as Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent QB Baker Mayfield, who has ties with new Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken. In 2019, Mayfield threw for a career-high 3,827 yards in his only season with Monken as the coordinator. Another short-term fallback option would be Tyler Huntley, who has been Jackson's primary backup for the last two seasons. But Baltimore's offense struggled under Huntley, and he had just four touchdowns in his five starts.
