Running back Tank Bigsby has been the go-to guy in Auburn’s backfield since stepping foot on campus as a freshman.
The 6-0, 213-pound college football star may not have been in the spotlight over the back end of his career due to the on-field struggles of the Auburn program, but Bigsby managed to churn out three productive seasons of play before declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft.
Where will Bigsby land in the draft and which team could grab him?

What Did Tank Bigsby Do In His College Career?
Tank Bigsby was a high-end four star prospect in the class of 2020 (fourth overall running back behind Bijan Robinson, Zach Evans, and Demarkcus Bowman). He made an impact at Auburn immediately, rushing 138 times for 834 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman.
Bigsby topped 1,000 yards on the ground his sophomore season and added 10 touchdowns. In his final season, he had 970 rushing yards and still managed to find the end zone 10 times despite a horrendous season from Auburn.
Auburn went 5-7, fired coach Bryan Harsin halfway through the year, and missed a bowl game for the first time since 2012. Interim head coach Cadillac Williams fed Bigsby the ball, seeing shadows of himself on the field for the Tigers.
Which Team Could Pick Tank Bigsby In The 2023 NFL Draft?
As a prospect, Bigsby offers patience, speed, and run-you-over mentality. He is the full package as a runner, but does not offer much as a receiver. His hands and pass blocking have both been questioned by scouts, leading many to believe he may not be a complete NFL running back.
Despite a lack of passing down skills, there is absolutely a place as a runner in the league for Bigsby. He could make an immediate impact in a committee if he lands in the right spot.
The seventh-all-time leading rusher in Auburn history is currently projected as an early Day 3 pick due to the devaluation of the running back position in drafts.
With the running back market gearing up for a wild offseason, it is hard to pinpoint teams that really need a body in the backfield at this current stage of the NFL offseason.
Bigsby could be targeted by a team like Dallas, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, or New England as a part of a committee. All four teams currently have uncertainty at the position with impending free agents and would love the luxury addition of a hard-nosed runner like Bigsby.
From a fantasy standpoint, a best-case scenario for Bigsby is that he lands on a team that will utilize him in a two-man committee. He offers a similar profile as Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce and should see similar production if he is in a place where he will see opportunity.
