The Philadelphia Eagles had modest expectations entering the 2022 season. However, the team blew those expectations out of the water.
Philadelphia had a 14-1 record with Jalen Hurts under center. Furthermore, they were the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. After winning their first two playoff matchups by a combined score of 69-14, the Eagles faced the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 57.
While the game was an exciting matchup, Philadelphia came up just short. Following their 38-35 loss, the Eagles will have the 30th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

What Are The Philadelphia Eagles Biggest Needs On Offense?
Philadelphia also owns the 10th overall pick in this year’s draft from the New Orleans Saints. They acquired that draft pick in a day from last offseason. The Eagles need that top-10 pick as they have several upcoming free agents next month.
One of those free agents is Miles Sanders. The former Penn State star had a career year in 2022. He had 1,269 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Furthermore, Sanders was a Pro Bowl selection for the first time in his career.
However, he might not be back with the team in 2023. The Eagles have more critical free agents this offseason to re-sign. If Sanders doesn’t return next season, Philadelphia could use the 10th overall pick in Bijan Robinson.
The Texas running back is an elite prospect. He can take any run to the house. Furthermore, Robinson could be the final piece to an already dangerous Philadelphia offense.
What Are The Philadelphia Eagles Biggest Needs On Defense?
Last year the Eagles had one of the best defenses in the NFL. Unfortunately, they have several upcoming free agents on that side of the ball. At the top of the list are starting defensive tackles Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave. However, Philadelphia planned for this offseason last year, using a first-round pick on Jordan Davis.
Unfortunately, the Eagles have several other starters hitting the free agent market this offseason. Three starting members of their secondary (James Bradberry, Marcus Epps, and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson) will be free agents next month. Hopefully, Philadelphia can re-sign at least two of them this offseason.
If they lose Bradberry, Emmanuel Forbes would be an excellent replacement option. The Eagles could land the former Mississippi State star with the 30th overall pick. Forbes had 14 interceptions in his college career, including six in 2022.
