Panthers Not Saying If They'll Visit With Derek Carr
2 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich would not say definitively on Tuesday whether the team would visit with free-agent quarterback Derek Carr when asked about it. Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker are both scheduled to become free agents next month, so the only QB on the team's active roster will be Matt Corral. Carr has visited with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets already, but since he's gotten a head start on the free-agent market, he plans to take his time and visit with as many interested teams as possible before making a final decision. The 31-year-old signal-caller arguably had the best weapons around him in Las Vegas in 2022, and he finished 3,522 yards, 24 touchdowns and a career-high-tying 14 interceptions in 15 games. Carr would be more of a QB2 target if he landed in Carolina.
