2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (side) will be evaluated on Friday. If that goes well, manager Bruce Bochy said that deGrom could throw again as early as Saturday. The Rangers pushed deGrom's throwing session back on Wednesday after he reported tightness in his left side during a bullpen session earlier this week. The Rangers will be using the utmost caution with the 34-year-old right-hander early in camp, especially considering all the injuries he's dealt with in recent seasons. There's a chance this isn't really anything serious, but we won't really know until Friday or until he resumes throwing. When healthy, deGrom is a top-10 fantasy ace, but the injury risk is real.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
