Jaylen Brown Not Expected To Miss "Significant Time"
2 years agoBoston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (face) won't play on Sunday against Memphis. The All-Star suffered a maxillary fracture in his face after colliding with Jayson Tatum during Wednesday's Atlantic Division matchup with Philadelphia. Fortunately, he's not expected to require surgery, with president of basketball operation Brad Stevens anticipating he won't miss significant time. Nonetheless, there's a good chance Brown could be back soon, and hopefully, the custom-fitted mask he'll need to wear won't impact his play on the court. In the meantime, Sam Hauser should remain in the starting lineup. The 25-year-old has averaged 13.5 points and shot 50% from deep in two starts this season, so there's something there for fantasy managers while Brown is unavailable.
