Khalil Lee Outrighted To The Minors
2 years agoThe New York Mets outrighted outfielder Khalil Lee to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday. Lee was designated for assignment on Monday but cleared waivers and will remain in the organization for the time being. The 24-year-old was recently accused of domestic violence and is under investigation. The possibility of a suspension down the line exists. Lee only played in two games with the Mets in 2022 and has 13 games in the majors in the last two seasons, going 2-for-20 with a homer, four RBI and 20 strikeouts in his 20 plate appearances. He hit .211/.326/.366 with a .692 OPS, 10 home runs, 37 RBI, 48 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 100 games for Triple-A Syracuse in 2022. Lee is well off the fantasy radar and could be released if he's handed a suspension.
