2 years agoThe Houston Texans hired Arizona Cardinals defensive line coach Matt Burke as their new defensive coordinator on Friday, according to league sources. Burke was also formerly the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. He's also spent time coaching with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles as a run-game coordinator and defensive line coach, respectively. In addition, he's coached with the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Harvard and Boston College. With the Dolphins, Burke helped Miami's defense improve to No. 16 in total defense and No. 14 in rushing defense in his first year as the D coordinator in 2017.
