D'Angelo Russell Heading Back To Los Angeles
2 years agoAccording to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers acquired guard D'Angelo Russell, along with Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt, on Wednesday night as part of a three-team deal. Utah will receive former MVP, Russell Westbrook, while Minnesota will get Mike Conley. Russell, who was drafted by the Lakers using the No. 2 overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, will now join LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The 26-year-old has averaged 17.9 points, 6.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and shot a career-high 39.1% from deep in 54 games this season. Although Russell has to contend with Davis and James for scoring chances, a change in scenery may be beneficial for fantasy managers.
