49ers Will Try To Bring Emmanuel Moseley Back
2 years agoESPN's Nick Wagoner writes that the San Francisco 49ers will likely focus on re-signing cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (knee) this offseason. He was playing like a No. 1 cornerback before he tore his left ACL in October. It won't be easy to bring him back, though, after he had five pass breakups and an interception in the first five games in 2022. If the 49ers can't re-sign him, cornerback will suddenly become a pressing need for them ahead of the 2023 season. The 26-year-old could be out until training camp this summer, which could lower his cost on the open market. The Niners defense was one of the best in the NFL yet again last year, but defending the pass was one of their weaknesses.
