Jake Haener Named Senior Bowl MVP
2 years agoFresno State quarterback Jake Haener threw for 139 yards and a touchdown to lead the National team to a 27-10 victory over the American team in last Saturday's Senior Bowl to win MVP honors. Haener went 12-for-19 in the game after setting a Fresno State record with a 68.1% completion rate in 2022. He missed four games with an ankle injury but returned to finish off a nine-game winning streak. As of right now, the 23-year-old signal-caller is projected to come off the board in the mid to late rounds of this year's NFL draft. Haener stands at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, and was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs in his collegiate career. His best assets are sound decision-making and accuracy, but he doesn't have high-end physical traits.
