Jalen Brunson Returns With 41 Points
2 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 41 points on 14-for-19 shooting in Saturday's 134-128 overtime loss to the Clippers. He was back in the lineup after missing Thursday's battle against the Heat and Brunson started slowly by scoring only seven points in the first quarter, but he soon regained his rhythm and ended up with his second-best scoring night of the season. He was 5-for-7 from downtown and also did outstanding work as a playmaker, delivering seven assists with only one turnover in 38 minutes. Brunson also added five rebounds to his tally. The 26-year-old averaged 28.7 points for January with 4.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists, and it looks like he has no plans to slow down this month either.
