Deni Avdija Notches Career-High 25 Points
2 years agoWashington Wizards forward Deni Avdija was the team's surprising top scorer in Monday's matchup against San Antonio, contributing a career-high 25 points in a 127-106 win. He nailed both of his attempts from downtown and shot 10-for-12 overall while picking up nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 33 minutes off the bench. The 22-year-old has started to gain momentum lately, going for 16.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals over the last four games. Rui Hachimura's trade to the Lakers has opened up minutes for him and Avdija also benefited from Kristaps Porzingis' absence. With that said, Porzingis was back in the fold Monday, scoring 17 points in 30 minutes with five blocks, and Avdija still had a big part to play in the contest, so these are exciting times for the Israeli talent and fantasy managers who have him in their squad.
