Tony Pollard Suffers Fractured Fibula
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard (leg) suffered a fractured left fibula that will require surgery in the Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, according to multiple sources. Normally these types of injuries require a three-month recovery period, so there's a chance that he could be 100 percent ready to go for training camp in the summer. In addition to the fractured fibula, he also suffered a high-ankle sprain. The 25-year-old finished Sunday's game with just six carries for 22 yards and two catches for 11 yards. It's a tough way for Pollard to end what was an excellent season in 2022, as he finished the regular season as the RB7 in half-point PPR scoring. Pollard is a candidate for the franchise tag in 2023 and should return as the team's primary running back.
