2 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards saw 12 carries -- one fewer than J.K. Dobbins -- and produced 39 yards in the 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night in the wild-card game. He added one catch on one target for a 13-yard pickup. Dobbins was much more effective, going over 100 scrimmage yards with a receiving touchdown. The 27-year-old Edwards is heading into the final year of his deal in 2023 and should be better next season another year removed from a major knee injury that kept him out for the entire 2021 season. He played in a career-low nine games in 2022, carrying the ball 87 times for 433 yards and three touchdowns. Edwards did not catch a pass on just two targets in the regular season.
