Julius Randle Crushes The Pistons
2 years agoNew York Knicks power forward Julius Randle extended his double-double streak to 10 games with a big 42-point, 15-rebound effort in Sunday's 117-104 win over Detroit. He became the first Knicks player with a 40-15 game since Patrick Ewing in 1996. The Pistons were in trouble right from the off when Randle finished the first Knicks attack with a triple, and he ended up shooting 15-for-24 overall for the game with a 4-for-7 performance from downtown. Randle played for 40 minutes and also had four assists and one block. The 2021 All-Star is third in the league in double-doubles and all of his last four have come with at least 15 rebounds. He's simply crushing it right now, and another big Randle performance seems imminent Monday against the Raptors, who have given up 31.0 points and 12.5 rebounds to the former Kentucky man this season.
