Daniel Gafford Exits With An Ankle Sprain
2 years agoWashington Wizards center Daniel Gafford sprained his right ankle against New Orleans on Monday and couldn't complete the contest. It was a very unfortunate injury, as Gafford tweaked his ankle after finishing off a dunk in the fourth quarter. He played for 23 minutes and exited with 13 points, four rebounds and two assists. The 24-year-old has played some great stuff since earning a promotion to the starting unit on Dec. 20, averaging 12.0 points with 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Deni Avdija and Rui Hachimura are in line to pick up most of Gafford's minutes if he is forced to spend some time on the shelf.
