Jalen Hurts Quiet In Return
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 20-of-35 passes for 229 yards and one interception, adding nine carries for 13 yards during the team's 22-16 victory over the Giants. The third-year quarterback was able to knock some rust off in his return from a shoulder injury but was hesitant to run the ball. Philadelphia did not want him doing that anyway before heading into the postseason, so the designed run plays were not called often. While this fantasy performance was not one to remember, the 24-year-old had a breakout fantasy season finishing as one of the top-scoring quarterbacks. Hurts finished as a QB1 in 13-of-15 games played and was a top-five fantasy quarterback nine times. With the Philadelphia skill position players locked in next season, excluding upcoming free agent running back Miles Sanders, Hurts will be ranked as a top three fantasy quarterback heading into 2023's regular season.
