Is Lamar Jackson Playing In Week 18?
Baltimore's franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson has been nursing a knee injury since Week 13 of the season. Jackson was originally diagnosed with a sprained PCL and has now missed the Ravens' last four games with the issue.
Jackson has not been able to practice in over a month and that's once again been the case ahead of the squad's Week 18 divisional clash with the Cincinnati Bengals. He has been a DNP at Baltimore practices every day this week. Friday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh officially ruled Jackson out of the regular-season finale against the Bengals. His availability for the NFL playoffs is currently in doubt.
Should I Start Tyler Huntley In Week 18?
Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley has underwhelmed while filling in for the injured Jackson this season. Huntley has accounted for just three total TDs in five games, tossing two and rushing for one.
In addition to his ineffectiveness, Huntley is dealing with his own injury issues this week. He has been nursing tendinitis in his shoulder as well as a minor wrist injury. The Ravens have opted to have him do very minimal throwing in practice this week in an effort to relieve the tendinitis, but he is expected to play against the Bengals after getting in a limited practice session on Friday.
While Huntley might indeed suit up against Cincinnati in the regular-season finale, he is practically untouchable from a fantasy standpoint. He's failed to top 17 fantasy points in any game this year and he's averaging less than 10 fantasy points per outing over Baltimore's last four games.
