Klay Thompson Drops 54 Points On Atlanta
2 years agoGolden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson produced the second-best scoring night of his career on Monday, helping the team to a 143-141 overtime victory against Atlanta with a 54-point effort. He shot lights out all night, finishing 10-for-21 from downtown and 21-for-39 overall from the field. The veteran sniper also collected eight rebounds, three assists and one block. Following his horrible injury issues, Thompson has been a very inconsistent performer, but he has now strung together a very impressive four-game stretch, averaging 34.5 points. Next up, he will find himself facing off against the second-worst defense in the league, so Thompson is in a perfect spot to continue his scoring tear on Wednesday versus Detroit.
