Latavius Murray Handles 16 Touches In Loss To Chiefs
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray was efficient in the Week 17 loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, but he failed to find the end zone on 16 touches. He led the backfield with 12 carries for 56 yards (4.7 yards per carry) and had a season-high-tying four receptions for an additional 16 yards on six targets. The 32-year-old veteran running back continued to lead the Broncos' backfield, but there just wasn't much to be had on the ground against Kansas City's defense in this one. Backfield mate Chase Edmonds handled seven carries and also caught all three of his targets. It was nice to see Murray get more involved in the passing attack, but there's no guarantee that will continue in the regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18.
