Chase Claypool, Dante Pettis Active On Sunday
2 years agoChicago Bears wide receivers Chase Claypool (knee) and Dante Pettis (ankle) are both officially active on New Year's Day to face the Detroit Lions in Week 17. Claypool will be on the field for the first time since Week 13, and it remains to be seen if he'll see his normal workload on offense. During the team's bye in Week 13, the Bears coaching staff admitted that Claypool was still learning the offense after a midseason trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his five games with the team, he has only 12 receptions on 22 targets for 111 yards and no touchdowns. The Bears want Claypool to become a big part of the passing attack, but that may not happen until 2023. Trusting any Chicago receivers with a fantasy championship on the line is a fool's errand, even against a suspect Lions defense.
