What a turnaround it has been for Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars. After starting the 2022 NFL season at 2-6, they’ve won five out of their last seven games to stay in the hunt for the AFC South title. Lawrence’s resurgence has been vital to the Jaguars’ success.
From Weeks 9 to 15, he guided Jacksonville to four victories, with the highest passer rating in the league at 111.2. He also completed 70 percent of his passes and tallied 14 touchdowns with only one interception.
Lawrence also scored the only touchdown in their 19-3 win over the New York Jets in Week 16. These numbers hinder the reality of him nursing a toe injury. Is Lawrence still injured or good to go for Week 17?

Is Trevor Lawrence Injured Or Playing In Week 17 Fantasy Football?
Lawrence will suit up for the Jaguars as they go on the road against the Houston Texans. However, the team has been cautious with him through extra rest on the first day of weekly practices. As such, he did not participate in Wednesday’s practice but was a limited participant yesterday. While the result against the Texans is inconsequential to their postseason chase, the Jaguars will compete versus their division rivals with their usual starters, Lawrence included.
Should I Start Trevor Lawrence In Week 17 Fantasy Football?
Grab Lawrence if he is still available because he is primed for a big game against the Texans. Yes, the real battle for the division title will be in Week 18 when they host the Tennessee Titans. However, Lawrence will still want to win this game badly since he hasn’t won against Houston in three games.
Likewise, Houston’s defense isn’t built to neutralize a suddenly-surging Jaguars offense with Lawrence at the helm. The Texans surrender the seventh-most points (23.9) and third-most total yards (381.1) per game.
Defeating the Texans will still be challenging, considering they are coming off their best performance all season long with four sacks, two interceptions, a fumble recovery, and a defensive touchdown. Lawrence also threw two interceptions in their Week 5 matchup.
But that was a long time ago, and Lawrence is in a nice groove lately. He is averaging 23.96 fantasy points over his last five games, and that trend will continue. Therefore, put him as a starter while he is on a roll.
