Latavius Murray Hard To Trust Against Chiefs
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray continues to be the team's lead back, but it doesn't mean that he's been very attractive for fantasy managers in the NFL's lowest-scoring offense. In last week's blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams, he had a season-low-tying eight carries for just 34 yards and caught one pass for six yards. Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs could yield similar output if the Broncos get down multiple scores and are forced to abandon the run. Against KC in their first meeting in Week 14, Murray had just eight carries for 32 yards and three receptions for minus-one yard. And now that Chase Edmonds is back to steal some backfield touches away from him, the 32-year-old Murray comes with very little upside this weekend as a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex for fantasy managers. The Chiefs defense has allowed just over 100 yards per game on the ground this year, so the matchup isn't a good one.
