2 years agoThere has been growing buzz for former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton to return to coaching duties in the NFL next season, but it would be a surprise if it happened in the Big Easy with current head coach Dennis Allen expected back in 2023. The Saints have underachieved in 2022, but it appears that general manager Mickey Loomis and owner Gayle Benson want to give Allen another year to prove himself. New Orleans is currently 6-9 with two games left to play, but they've won back-to-back games for the first time all year. Allen has never had a winning season in his four years as head coach in the NFL, and his combined record sits at 14-37 as a head coach. Injuries have played a big part for the Saints this year, with key injuries to quarterback Jameis Winston, receiver Michael Thomas and cornerback Marshon Lattimore.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
