2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks placed tight end Will Dissly (knee) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday and promoted cornerback Xavier Crawford from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move. Dissly will miss the final two regular season games after suffering what head coach Pete Carroll described as a knee contusion in the Week 16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Seattle will have to make the playoffs and advance to the NFC Championship for Dissly to have a shot at returning this year. The 26-year-old mostly worked behind Noah Fant as the pass-catching tight end for the Seahawks this year, and he'll finish the regular season with just 34 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns in 38 targets over 15 games.
