Chris Moore Injury News
Moore was limited in practice all week long due to a foot injury. Perhaps because he never managed to log a full practice session, Houston officially listed Moore as questionable for Week 16 versus the Titans.
Is Chris Moore Injured or Playing in Week 16?
The Texans are quite banged up on offense. Houston recently placed rookie running back Dameon Pierce on injured reserve, and now they’re preparing to be without wide receiver Nico Collins (foot) on Saturday. To make matters worse, veteran receiver Brandin Cooks (calf) is questionable. Considering Moore practiced in some capacity all week long and provides a much-needed body in Houston’s starving offense, it would come as a major surprise if he does not play Saturday.
Moore’s fantasy value is largely dependent on Cooks’ status, but that’s not to say that he can’t thrive if the veteran is active (as expected). Moore’s opponent, the Titans, have been truly abysmal defending the pass this season. In fact, Tennessee has allowed 41.7 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, which is easily the highest mark in the entire NFL.
With a starting role, favorable matchup, and negative game script on tap, Moore has the potential to rank as a WR3 once again this week. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable deploying him in their starting lineups if needed.
