2 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens have decided to claim wide receiver Sammy Watkins off waivers from the Green Bay Packers. The 29-year-old was cut by Green Bay ahead of their Week 15 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. The former first round pick had 13 receptions for 206 yards and no touchdowns through nine games with the Packers. The young wideouts on this roster were stepping up, so the Packers decided to go in a different direction. The Ravens are in need of a wide receiver after placing Devin Duvernay (foot) on the injured reserve. Watkins could immediately slide into a starting role on this team. However, fantasy managers shouldn't have high expectations for Watkins with Tyler Huntley under center.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
