Khalil Herbert Expected To Return In Week 16
2 years agoChicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert (hip) is expected to return to practice this week and be activated from Injured Reserve in order to play in Week 16 against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. "He is cleared, ready to go," head coach Matt Eberflus said Monday. "Like we said last week, he's got all his jumps, his speed. He's been cutting, he's been moving. He looks great. We're excited about his return." Herbert has been out since getting injured on Nov. 13. The 24-year-old ranked 11th in the league in rushing with 643 yards and four touchdowns on 108 carries at the time of his injury. Herbert will likely be eased back into the Bears backfield behind David Montgomery, who has 26 carries for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the last two games while also adding another score on seven receptions and 44 additional yards.
