Denzel Mims Unlikely To Play In Week 16
2 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims (concussion) is unlikely to play in Week 16 on Thursday Night Football against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mims suffered a head injury in the Week 15 loss to the Detroit Lions and is unlikely to pass through the league's concussion protocol on a short week in order to play on Thursday night. Before he was hurt on Sunday, the 25-year-old caught one of his two targets for 13 yards. Mims has been a complete non-factor in fantasy in 2022, catching only 11 of his 24 targets for 186 yards and no touchdowns in eight games. He has yet to score in 28 NFL games. If Mims is inactive this week, Jeff Smith and Braxton Berrios could have bigger roles in the passing game if Corey Davis (concussion) misses another game with a head injury of his own.
