Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 16
Only players who are rostered in fewer than 50% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.
Graham Gano, New York Giants (at Minnesota Vikings)
The Minnesota Vikings' defense is completely unraveling, so even the pedestrian New York Giants offense should be able to move the ball in this spot. The game total is set at 47.5 for this duel between two likely NFC playoff teams, so chase the high-scoring affair at kicker in Week 16.
Greg Zuerlein, New York Jets (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)
Zuerlein is the No. 8 kicker in total fantasy points through 15 weeks, yet is only rostered in roughly 12 percent of leagues. The New York Jets offense does take a hit with Zach Wilson under center, but they should still move the ball to some degree against the Jaguars, setting up plenty of field goal attempts for Zuerlein on Thursday night.
Eddy Piñeiro, Carolina Panthers (vs. Detroit Lions)
Even though Piñeiro is on an awful team with a bad offense, he's been a top-10 fantasy kicker for much of the season. Carolina's offense led by Sam Darnold looks as good as it has all season, so the Panthers should at least be able to get in field goal range against a bottom-tier Detroit Lions defense.
Kicker Busts to Avoid for Week 16
Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Whether Colt McCoy or Trace McSorley starts for Arizona, this is far from a great spot for the Cardinals' offense on Christmas Day. The game total is set at just over 40 points, and we can expect the Buccaneers' fierce front seven to dominate here. Don't let Prater ruin your fantasy title hopes on Christmas.
Matt Gay, Los Angeles Rams (vs. Denver Broncos)
Gay is still rostered in over 30 percent of leagues, and it's tough to know why. He's the No. 25 fantasy kicker on the season, and Baker Mayfield versus the elite Denver Broncos defense doesn't set up for a high-scoring affair. Gay could return to solid fantasy status next year if the Rams' offense is healthy, but he's far from the fantasy radar for the remainder of the season.
