Biggest Week 15 Busts: Fantasy Football Reactions for Justin Herbert, Miles Sanders, Davante Adams, Brandon Aiyuk, Mark Andrews

Justin Herbert - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

The 15th NFL Sunday of the 2022 season has come and gone. Hopefully, you woke up on Monday morning feeling very good about how your week went. However, this week's slate of games was certainly stress-inducing for many fantasy football managers.

Part of that stress was caused by a group of players who drastically underachieved in Week 15. These players simply did not meet fantasy expectations, and it cost their managers in a big way. Let's take a look at the biggest busts from Week 15, as well as whether or not we can still have some trust in these players moving forward. All point totals are based on the PPR scoring system.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2024:

Fantasy Football Quarterback Busts

Justin Herbert, 11.85 FPTS

While Herbert did throw for 312 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans, he tossed two interceptions and zero touchdowns. This is an unacceptable result from a quarterback with top-tier weapons at his disposal. He'll look to bounce back in Week 16 against a Chargers defense that just crumbled in Minnesota.

Fantasy Football Running Back Busts

Miles Sanders, 1.9 FPTS

Sanders' stat lines continue to be so unpredictable. Last week, he had 144 rushing yards, 11 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. This week? 42 rushing yards, negative 11 receiving yards, and one fumble. The Eagles committed to a pass-heavy approach and therefore never really gave Sanders a chance to get going. It's anyone's guess as to whether he'll get back on track against Dallas in Week 16.

Zonovan Knight, 2.3 FPTS

The Jets' running game struggled against Detroit and Knight was no exception. He rushed 13 times for a measly 23 yards in New York's narrow loss. He'll drop to the RB3 tier on Thursday Night Football versus the Jaguars.

Antonio Gibson, 4.7 FPTS

Gibson registered just seven offensive touches on Sunday night, logging 21 rushing yards and six receiving yards. His underwhelming stat line seemed to be a product of minimal opportunities, which is something that plagued his production at times earlier this season, too. He'll fall to the low-end RB3 tier against the 49ers in Week 16.

D'Onta Foreman, 0.9 FPTS

Foreman was absolutely shut down by the Steelers, rushing 10 times for just nine yards. Chuba Hubbard didn't fare much better, registering just 10 rushing yards of his own, but he did add 57 receiving yards. It's fair to wonder whether Hubbard gets the nod as Carolina's No. 1 running back the rest of the way.

Rachaad White, 5.3 FPTS

White's efficiency struggled in Week 15 as he rushed 11 times for just 38 yards (3.45 YPC). The Buccaneers' offense looked quite sloppy in the second half versus Cincinnati, anchored by woeful quarterback play from Tom Brady. Hopefully, Tampa can shake off these miscues and get back on track against a struggling Cardinals squad in Week 16.

Jamaal Williams, 3.3 FPTS

Williams couldn't get much going on Sunday as he rushed 13 times for just 33 yards, giving him 2.54 YPC. The 27-year-old has 70 yards and zero scores over his last two games, placing emphasis on the fact that his fantasy output is largely touchdown-dependent. He'll rank as an RB3 against Carolina next week.

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Busts

Davante Adams, 6.8 FPTS

Adams was peppered with nine targets on Sunday, but he finished the day with just four catches for 28 yards. The talented receiver has just seven catches and zero touchdowns over his last two contests, but that shouldn't deter any managers from keeping him in their fantasy lineup for the rest of the season.

Brandon Aiyuk, 3.9 FPTS

With Deebo Samuel sidelined, Aiyuk played a whopping 97 percent of snaps on Thursday. However, he produced just two catches for 19 yards. With so many playmakers on their roster, the 49ers have the luxury of choosing which star to feed, and Thursday simply wasn't Aiyuk's night. He'll face the Commanders in Week 16 with a chance to bounce back.

Marquise Brown, 5.9 FPTS

Brown was held to four catches for 19 yards against the Broncos on Sunday. Arizona entered this game with Colt McCoy at quarterback and finished with Trace McSorley, so expectations were certainly low in the first place. The 25-year-old wideout remains a shaky low-end WR3 the rest of the way.

Fantasy Football Tight End Busts

Mark Andrews, 6.1 FPTS

Andrews hauled in three of seven targets for 31 yards on Saturday. The talented tight end doesn't have a touchdown since Week 6, and he is averaging just 7.07 fantasy points per game during that span. Although he remains a must-start, fantasy managers can't depend on him to singlehandedly lead them to playoff glory.

Dalton Schultz, 3.5 FPTS

Schultz caught just two passes for 15 yards, taking a backseat to CeeDee Lamb and Noah Brown. The 26-year-old seems to perform better in even-numbered weeks, so perhaps a strong finish lies ahead in Week 16.

David Njoku, 5.8 FPTS

Njoku couldn't build on a strong Week 14, catching just three passes for 28 yards on Saturday. He'll rank as a low-end TE1 against the Saints next week.

Greg Dulcich, 2.1 FPTS

Dulcich caught just one pass for 11 yards on Sunday. While one could blame his struggles on quarterback Brett Rypien, it's worth mentioning that fellow tight end Eric Tomlinson notched three catches, 28 yards, and one touchdown. Nevertheless, Dulcich falls to the high-end TE2 tier if Russell Wilson (concussion) can't play in Week 16.
