Mitch Trubisky On Short Leash In Week 15
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky will draw the start against the Carolina Panthers after Kenny Pickett (concussion) was ruled out. However, Trubisky is expected to be on a short leash, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. The 28-year-old struggled when thrust into action last week, passing for 276 yards but tossing just one touchdown and three picks. If the Steelers do make a mid-game change under center, veteran Mason Rudolph would replace Trubisky. He played in parts of two games last season, completing 60.3 percent of his passes for 277 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also rushed for an extra 53 yards on the ground.
