Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray missed a few games this season due to a hamstring injury, but came back and began to look like the star fantasy quarterback we expected in 2022.
However, the fourth-year signal-caller appears to have suffered another injury in the loss to the New England Patriots in Week 15, and we have the latest update on his status.
Is Kyler Murray out for the season? How does his injury affect the Cardinals' skill players? We'll answer both of those key questions below.

Kyler Murray Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Murray (knee) tore his left ACL in the Monday night loss to the New England Patriots, an MRI exam confirmed on Tuesday. Murray will now miss the final four games of the 2022 season and won't be ready for the start of next year.
The 25-year-old's knee gave out while scrambling on just the third play of the game, and he was carted off while in tears. Murray finishes his fourth year in the desert with 2,368 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions on 390 pass attempts while also carrying the ball 67 times for 418 yards and three more scores. It's a tough break for Murray and his fantasy managers as the fantasy football playoffs arrive.
Kyler Murray Injury Fallout
Colt McCoy will start for Arizona moving forward, and DeAndre Hopkins has three solid performances this season with McCoy under center. In the three games McCoy has played, Hopkins has averaged 11 targets and 89 receiving yards per game. Monday night was Marquise Browns' first game action with McCoy, and he caught four of his eight targets for 34 yards. We only have a two-game sample of Hopkins (suspended first six games) and Brown (out from Week 7 to Week 12), so it's tough to know what their outlooks are for the rest of the season. Hopkins remains a must-start in all matchups thanks to his huge opportunity, but Brown will likely be matchup-dependent.
Interestingly enough, James Conner seems to benefit the most from McCoy's insertion into the lineup. In seven games where Murray started and finished at QB, Conner averaged just 11.8 PPR fantasy points per game. In McCoy's three games at QB, Conner has averaged 20.1 PPR points per game. McCoy is far more likely to dump it off in the passing game to running backs, and Arizona leans more run-heavy with their backup quarterback on the field.
McCoy hasn't sunk the offensive skill-players s to irrelevance when he's played and there are still plenty of fantasy points to go around, but everyone's ceiling could be lowered. The biggest negative impact of this situation probably lands on Brown.
