Pat Freiermuth Expects To Play Against Panthers
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (foot) said that he hurt his foot on his first catch in the Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday when he got rolled up on. Freiermuth didn't practice on Wednesday, but he expects to be able to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. The 24-year-old caught three of his six targets for 33 yards and his second touchdown of the season last week while injured. Freiermuth checks in as the TE5 on the year in half-point PPR setups with 53 catches on 82 targets for 630 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his touchdown catches in 2022 have been thrown by quarterback Mitch Trubisky, who could make the start against the Panthers on Sunday if rookie Kenny Pickett can't clear the concussion protocol.
