Sergei Bobrovsky Shuts Out Columbus With 22 Saves
2 years agoFlorida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky showed the Blue Jackets what they are missing, recording a 22-save shutout against his former team in a 4-0 win. Sam Reinhart led the offense with a goal and two assists. This was a huge improvement from Bobrovsky, who had given up two or fewer goals just three times this season in 15 starts prior to Tuesday. Despite the shutout, his numbers still look ugly, with Bobrovsky boasting a 6-8-1 record with a 3.35 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage. He will hope to kick on from here now, and the team really needs him to keep up the improved form with Spencer Knight (illness) unavailable.
