Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper has played well in his first year with the team. The former Alabama star receiver got traded to Cleveland in the offseason in a salary cap-saving move by the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite preseason concerns about Jacoby Brissett, the veteran receiver has been a fantasy star this season. Cooper is the WR12 for the year, averaging 12.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
However, he scored only six fantasy points in Deshaun Watson’s Cleveland debut last week. More importantly, the veteran showed up on the injury report this week.

Is Amari Cooper Playing In Week 14?
Cooper didn’t practice on Friday because of a hip injury. He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The veteran receiver has a significant chance of missing this week’s matchup. He was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice before sitting out today. Any time a player makes negative progress this late in the week, fantasy players should start to worry.
The former first-round pick had five receptions for 131 receiving yards and 19.6 fantasy points in the Week 8 win over the Bengals earlier this year.
What Last-Minute Waiver Wire Wide Receiver Should I Add?
Assuming the Cleveland receiver can’t play this week, Donovan Peoples-Jones will see an uptick in targets. However, he is rostered in 44.3% of ESPN leagues and might not be available on the waiver wire.
Instead, fantasy players should turn their attention to D.J. Chark. The Detroit Lions receiver is available in over 75% of ESPN leagues.
Last week everyone was excited to see Jameson Williams make his pro debut. Yet, Chark was the Detroit receiver to step up alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown in the team’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The former LSU star caught five of six targets for 98 receiving yards and scored 12.3 fantasy points last week against his former team. Furthermore, he ran a route on 95% of Jared Goff’s dropbacks and nearly had a 50% air yards share.
This week the veteran receiver has an excellent matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The NFC North division leaders have surrendered 32.2 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year, the third-most in the NFL. Furthermore, the Vikings have given up over 230 receiving yards and 36.5 fantasy points per contest to receivers over the past seven games.
