Deshaun Watson Remains The Browns Starter
2 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski reiterated that quarterback Deshaun Watson will remain the starter under center despite looking extremely rusty in his season debut in the Week 13 win over his former team, the Houston Texans. In his regular season game in 700 days, Watson went 12-for-22 for 131 yards, no touchdowns and one interception for a 53.4 QB rating. He looked pretty bad, but Stefanski is confident that Watson will be better with one game under his belt. Watson looked sharp in practice on Wednesday, and he should be getting tight end David Njoku (knee) back this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Watson should get more comfortable down the stretch, but fantasy managers should consider him a QB2 until further notice.
