LaMelo Ball Re-Injures Ankle On Wednesday
2 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) finished with 26 points during Wednesday's loss to the Pacers. Ball had a fantastic night, going 5-for-8 from deep while adding six assists and two steals. Unfortunately, he re-injured the same ankle that cost him the first 13 games of the 2022-23 campaign. The Hornets don't play again until Friday in Cleveland. However, fantasy managers should consider Ball questionable heading into that one. If he can't suit up, Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) is the favorite to take his place in the starting lineup, assuming he's healthy. But if Smith can't go either, Theo Maledon and James Bouknight could see an increased workload.
