ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers' wide receiver DeAndre Carter put forth a strong effort in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers. Carter tied his season high with 64 receiving yards and reeled in L.A.'s only TD of the game.
The veteran receiver has performed admirably for this banged-up Chargers' receiving corps in recent weeks. Carter has now caught nine of 10 targets for 117 yards and a score over L.A.'s last two.
With both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams sidelined with injuries, the Chargers have been scrambling for pass-catching options over the past several weeks, with Carter and Joshua Palmer stepping in to fill the large void left in the receiving corps.
Carter has proven himself to be a servicable fantasy option in his current role. Unfortunately, his fantasy viability is tied to the health status of both Allen and Williams. As long as both remained sidelined, fantasy GMs can continue rolling out Carter as a confident FLEX play. However, his value will plummet once one or both of L.A.'s star receivers return to the lineup.
