Suns Offered Cameron Johnson Significant Deal
2 years agoPhoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (knee) is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn meniscus. The organization reportedly offered Johnson a deal in the range of four years $66-$72 million. The 26-year-old decided not to sign the extension and the deadline to sign those deals has passed. That being said, Johnson will become a restricted free agent next summer. He'll likely still get a strong deal, but the right meniscus tear is certainly going to be a concern to some teams. The potential is certainly there for Johnson, so hopefully this injury isn't a setback to his career.
