Colts Fire Head Coach Frank Reich
2 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts fired head coach Frank Reich on Monday, according to sources. The move comes after the team's 26-3 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 9, the Colts' third straight loss. Indianapolis recently made the switch from veteran quarterback Matt Ryan to Sam Ehlinger and also fired offensive coordinator Marcus Brady last week, but it couldn't save Reich his job. The 60-year-old went 40-33-1 in the regular season and 1-2 in two playoff appearances with the Colts. The team had different opening-day starters at QB in each of Reich's five seasons as the franchise struggled to replace Andrew Luck after his sudden retirement before the 2019 season. The Colts didn't convert any of their 14 third-down attempts, which tied the worst single-game mark in the NFL in the last 30 years.
